We are pleased with his calves and continue to be amazed at the performance of his progeny. His calves have moderate birth weights and above average weaning weights. His daughters are feminine yet well muscled with excellent spring of rib. They will show too, as Lottie Dah proved this summer winning her class at Missouri State Fair. Marquis is an outcross fullblood bull
from the French herd of Louis Lessege.
He is owned by Stephen and Helen Illingworth of Scotland, this
picture was taken during our visit to the Royal in England this past
summer. CCRA First Lady
Marquis 96L is the first progeny in the US sired by this Vainqueur,
grandson, one of France’s all time greats.
His 200 and 400 day growth, muscle depth, fat depth and beef value
are all in the top 10% of the breed. The Beef Value is an overall
measurement of production and carcass yield.
